Since 1974, The Oaks Rehabilitative Services Center has provided a wide range of substance abuse treatment services in Southeastern, Eastern and Southern Oklahoma.  Services include addiction assessment, outpatient counseling, and residential treatment for men and women as well as residential treatment for women with children.

In addition, The Oaks provides an Area Prevention Resource Center for Pittsburg, Haskell, Latimer, Coal and Atoka Counties.  The APRC works with local coalitions and community groups to actively encourage youth to abstain from the use of tobacco, drugs and alcohol.  To contact the APRC call (918) 421-3561 or email ray.miller@kibois.org or find us on Facebook (search for KIBOIS APRC).

We are certified by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities. Alcohol and other drug problems affect between 11 and 13 percent of the population directly. Those affected typically have problems with one or more of the following:

* Family and Relationship Problems
* Social Problems
* Legal Problems
* Emotional and Behavioral Problems
* Health Problems
* Self-Esteem Problems
* Motivational and Problem Solving Difficulty

Those indirectly affected by alcohol or drug problems include:

* Family Members
* Friends and Neighbors
* Employers and Co-Workers
* Pastors, Teachers, Service Workers

People who have substance abuse problems and those affected tend to keep these problems closely guarded for many reasons, but it is apparent to the persons affected as well as others. When situations worsen, the problem becomes more apparent.

 Consequences are costly. Early identification of problem areas and early outpatient treatment promotes better family functioning and may avert the higher costs of residential treatment, hospitals or other health care, legal costs, loss of job and productivity.

The Oaks offers treatment at costs based on personal income level and family size. The Oaks also accepts insurance and Medicaid reimbursement.

The Oaks is partially funded by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.  No one is turned away because of inability to pay for services. 

All of the substance abuse treatment programs provided by The Oaks are co-occurring capable.  Identification of clients is strictly protected by Federal and State Confidentiality Laws.
